The day I crossed the line of no return in my finances - Spoiler alert! Personal Story

It was a moment I never imagined I would experience. To be honest, it was painful, uncomfortable and almost unbearable. That moment changed me.

But let me take you to the background of the story, what actually brought me to that point.I had decided to end my short abusive marriage, which was already a hard pill to swallow. Surprised, I received the news that all the money I had earned in my career, which was put into buying the "family" house, would never come back to me. Yes, it seemed like I had "donated" all my money to the person that was soon to be, ex-husband. There was nothing to do legally, just to accept and learn from that situation and move forward.

I lost all my money! I used to tell myself constantly. How could that even happen? Then I took responsiblitiy of my decisions, and realized that I had put myself in that situation. That was the moment I decided: I would never allow myself to experience such a thing ever again in my life. 

There was nothing to do, but to start re-building, myself and my wealth from scratch.I then took action in full mode. Read tens of personal finance books, one after the other as if my life depended on it. Courses? of course! YouTube videos, tons of them!

For me, money had taken a different meaning. It was my way to provide myself with freedom, opportunities and choices embracing my independence as a woman.

Since then, I truly believe that Personal Finance is a Form of Self Care.

I took action, not only increasing my knowledge, but also taking action. I surrounded myself with people who talked investments in the lunch time, it became a common, every day topic to me. I opened my investment account and bought my first stock with 25 euros! That moment was only the beginning, and after some mistakes, I felt confident on what I was doing.

Unfortunately, after this experience, I have met many but really many women who went through financial struggles after their life changed. A divorce, or life shift, and they found themselves without money and knowledge how to build wealth.That was my inspiration to create Female Wealth Builders. I want to help women master their money, create wealth and achieve financial freedom. Why?Because money can provide stability, peace and the freedom to choose where we want to be, meaning, leaving people and places that are not good for us.

I am glad those days are long gone for me, but I know many women go through similar experiences as I write this blog post. If you are one of them, I want to tell you, I see you and I feel you. Everything will be alright.

I learned during this journey, that the most dangerous place for a woman to be is her own home.This statistic applies to the whole world which is shocking. 

I disagree to accept such statistics. I want to make a difference and provide women with choices, opportunities and why not... power.
